2010 – Continued IP Convergence

The start of a new year is a time of excitement with great potential and new opportunities. For 2010, Sprint will continue to deliver IP Converged solutions to enable virtually anytime, anywhere access to the information on the Now Network™ that will allow you and your employees to realize your full potential.

Sprint will deliver expanded coverage of our award-winning wireless and wireline network to customers with key capabilities in 2010, including:

  • More robust IP networking capabilities, with expansion of our Global Tier 1 IP network to drive next-generation technology such as Unified Communications (UC). Building on Sprint’s reach to 165 countries around the world, we will expand access within Brazil and Canada early in 2010, launching additional MPLS NNI partners.
  • Enhanced MPLS access alternatives, including expanded Ethernet coverage. Sprint will maintain the same kind of dedication to MPLS that earned us the sweeping win in the MPLS services category of the Nemertes 2009 Pilothouse Awards for Sprint’s performance in value, customer service, technology, and network reliability, which was described as “exceptional.”
  • Enhanced SIP trunking capabilities, strengthening this enabling technology as a consolidated voice alternative for UC.
  • Expanded Mobile Integration, another key to enabling mobility within the UC environment, giving users the opportunity to communicate and collaborate from virtually anywhere.
  • New local access options with the addition of 4G capabilities, plus enhanced Data Link for Wireless WAN capabilities that include service level agreements for fixed locations or back-up connectivity and device encryption.
  • # Introduction of My Sprint Business capabilities or expanded eCenter functionality that allows you to better manage your services with Sprint.

For Sprint, these types of enhancements are a top priority, and they will be made in line with Sprint’s high standards for network performance and customer experience. This dedication is reflected in strong, year-over-year growth in IP revenue – growth that exceeded the U.S. market growth rate.

Strong financial performance, on top of unparalleled network performance, is a testament to what makes Sprint different. As a true business carrier with both wireline and wireless access and IP Convergence, Sprint is focused on one goal: delivering the best network performance possible to enable next generation technology and applications now.

Of course, some things don’t change just by turning a page on the calendar. Companies face continuing economic challenges, with their capital budgets squeezed, so they are looking to take advantage of opportunities with a quick ROI turnaround time. Furthermore, the need to leverage technology to increase productivity, as well as the need to manage the ongoing evolution to a more mobile workforce continues to be an ongoing challenge. Ever-improving IP converged solutions from Sprint can meet these needs on a global basis.
