Managing in a BYOD World

on September 10, 2012 by Pete Parish

The BYOD revolution isn’t slowing down, so it’s no longer a question of will we or won’t we. It’s a question of how do we deal with it and make it a positive development in the workplace.

Not to worry. Sprint has arrived with a solution, BYOD Management, the latest entry in our stable of Professional Mobility Services.

BYOD Management is a  cost-effective, turnkey solution that addresses the challenges that BYOD presents to an IT organization, such as security, usage policies, administration, shared costs, and more.

It’s all about making the best of a dynamic work environment, in which employees are using a variety of mobile devices from multiple carriers. BYOD Management service is a simple turnkey solution that leverages key elements from our existing Device Management and Mobility Management offerings along with the key features needed in a BYOD environment.
What does it really do, you ask? Well, it:

•    Helps an organization define and enforce compliance with BYOD policies
•    Offers a customized web portal where employees can opt in, register their personal device for the program, and learn more.
•    Secures corporate data on employee-owned devices with mobile device management and security capabilities
•    Manages the process by which employees are reimbursed for mobile devices and services in line with company policies
•    Provides detailed reporting and analysis to keep track of BYOD employees and their devices

To enable BYOD Management, Sprint is teaming with mobile solutions provider Vision Wireless, our partner for multi-carrier wireless mobility management solutions.
