The Sprint UC Story: Successful First Phase

on December 28, 2009 by Michael A. Browne

The initial phase of Sprint’s migration to UC leveraged what we learned from the early adopters, which we talked about in my last post. These people provided excellent feedback as to the quality of the communications tools and their ease of adoption. We learned a lot from our pilot group, everything from which headsets worked the best, to  optimal laptop settings and the best setup for home-based workers. This information helped us clean up our deployment processes and fill platform gaps. More...

SIP Trunking Rolls On

on December 07, 2009 by Steve Parrott

SIP Trunking: Beyond Cost Savings

on November 20, 2009 by Editor

Nice post last week by Broadsoft's Alex Doyle, who discusses the evolution of SIP Trunking and why this is a big deal for business customers. He starts with a clever quote and description: Using an IP PBX with TDB PRI circuits was once "like driving a Ferrari on a dirt road." (CBeyond's CTO Chris Gatch).More...

Calling all Application Developers

on November 19, 2009 by Dan Jacobson

Ever since Sprint opened its doors to external application developers, we’ve approved  approximately 300 APIs. This “open” approach to development has been extremely beneficial in allowing us to offer unique applications that might not otherwise be developed for our wireless customers. More...

A few weeks ago I offered responses to questions that were raised during a recent webinar – Seven Ways to Deliver Value of UC – in which me and Nancee Ruzicka with Stratecast hosted. I wasn’t able to address all of the questions in my last post, so here’s my response to another group of questions. More...
