As I explore cloud computing more and more, I am surprised by the number of companies that do not see mobility as being integral to cloud solutions. According to McGuire's Law, the value of a product increases with its mobility. It makes no sense, for instance, to build a next-generation Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application in the cloud without rich mobile functions. What Does Social Grass Mean for the Enterprise?

In a recent interview with Telephony editor Kevin Fitchard, I introduced the concept of "social grass" as a component of how mobility will shape the next couple of decades. If you read that article, you may first have wondered what "social grass" is (other than a vague memory from college, although I'm sure none of us inhaled :) ).  And even if you figured out what I meant by "social grass," you probably struggled to see how it fit into a corporate environment.
