About the Author

Wayne Ward leads Sprint’s Emerging Solutions unit, formed in October 2009 to develop M2M (machine-to-machine) and mobile computing solutions. The unit, which combines the network, systems and open-device expertise of Sprint and its strategic partners, plays a lead role in the creation of a broad range of consumer connected devices and business applications and solutions for Sprint Consumer and Business channels. Ward spent nearly a decade as Vice President of Solutions Engineering & Consulting for Sprint, with national responsibility for technical sales and support for Sprint’s broad portfolio of wireline, wireless and wholesale/embedded solutions. In all, he has more than 25 years experience in business development, product development, product management, marketing, and sales in telecommunications, data communications, and enterprise-class mobility applications.
